GPS Records began in 1972. Since then, the label has released dozens of LPs, cassettes, and CDs with recordings by a wide range of musicians and spoken word artists such as Laurie Anderson, Glenn Branca, Philip Glass, Meredith Monk, Anne Waldman, Hüsker Dü, Sonic Youth, and more.
