The idea behind these three nights is to give the internet a body, I spend so much time isolated online that I crave the blood, smell, joy and comfort of others, but also I want a space where those bodies can perform rites, rituals, liturgies. Increasingly I feel that the only distinction between machine and human intelligence is our corporeal self, not in the sense that consciousness can only be embodied—maybe—but that our bodies carry a different kind of knowledge, call it gnosis, that must be heeded. It’s the body that tells you when you are in the right place, time, and company.

His prolific output contains over 100 releases of original material, most notably with his bands Krallice and Orthrelm and his solo projects Ocrilim and Octis. He was named one of the 50 fastest guitarists of all time by Guitar World Magazine.

Lloyd “Bullwackie” Barnes (b. 1944) is a pioneering figure in roots reggae and dub, best known for founding the legendary Wackie’s label and studio in the Bronx, which became a vital hub for Jamaican artists recording in New York. Ras Tayo is equally a mainstay in NYC dub, roots, culture and all things 45”. Through selection the pair continues to carry the spirit of classic sound system culture.

Shira Chess is an Associate Professor of Entertainment and Media Studies at the University of Georgia. Her books include The Unseen Internet: Conjuring the Occult in Digital Discourse (2026), Play Like a Feminist (2020), and Ready Player Two: Women Gamers and Designed Identity (2017).

Deli Girls is a noise/rave-punk project founded in 2013 by vocalist Danny Orlowski. Known for raw, chaotic live shows, they blend industrial techno, nu-metal, and hardcore to address themes of trauma, injustice, and anti-establishment politics.
Gideon Jacobs (b. 1989) is a writer who has contributed to The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Paris Review, Artforum, BOMB, The Drift, and others. Switch Angel is the high energy dance music project of Boston based musician and software engineer, Jade Rose. As Switch Angel, she creates electronic music using strudel, a javascript based live coding environment to which she contributes development.
