The film [Inaudible], 2025, by Ash Moniz, was made in collaboration with Osprey V, a rock band from Gaza—likely the first of its genre, which Ash joined last year. Filmed between Gaza, Cairo, and New York City, it depicts the steadfast resilience of a group of people who struggle to record music while facing bombardment and siege.
After October 2023, some members of the band were able to evacuate from Gaza to Cairo, where they met Ash. Others are still currently stuck in Gaza, fighting for survival alongside their families. Even while separated across a border that prevents anything and anyone from coming in or out, they have been writing and recording songs by sending files back and forth online, relying on very limited internet access in Gaza.

Ash screens their film and then introduces members of Osprey V, who join us for a live online performance from Cairo, Jordan, and conditions permitting, Gaza.
Naming the film [Inaudible] is about the fact that Palestinians are completely silenced — it’s about the fact that no matter how loud they scream, no one is listening.

Update: July 2025
GPS is devastated to share that the photojournalist, filmmaker, and director Ismail Abu Hatab, [Inaudible]’s main videographer, was killed on June 30, 2025 by an Israeli airstrike while working at the Al-Baqa Cafe on the beach in Gaza City. Ismail founded BYPA - By Palestine, a Gaza-based organization supporting artists, writers, journalists and other creatives that held its first exhibition earlier this year in Los Angeles, CA. His tireless work captured the Palestinian experience of displacement, war, human resilience, and hope. He is succeeded by his brother Ahmad Abu Hatab. He will be greatly missed. Donations for BYPA - By Palestine can be sent via Zelle to: 847 910 2556.
To honor Ismail's memory, [Inaudible] can be streamed below through the month of July.

Osprey V is a Palestinian rock band from Gaza formed in 2017. Formed in 2017, Osprey V consists of Raji Al Jaru on guitar/vocals, Moamen Al Jaru on bass, and Sa’ed Al Jaru on guitar, with Siraj Shawa previously on keyboard, and Ash Moniz currently on drums. All of them are self-taught musicians. Follow them on Instagram at @ospreyvofficial.
